It Still Happens
Whenever we think race relations have improved and the message of equality has been heard, we have rude reminders that we still have a long way to go. This case was horrific and the officers involved deserve their decades-long punishment. It should send another message to law enforcement that old ways of brutality and torture are no longer acceptable. It should, but will it?
