What I missed
It doesn't pay to take two weeks off. I missed an assassination attempt on the President, a break-off of Iranian negotiations, renewed pressure by the President to finish building his gigantic White house ballroom, a second indictment of James Comey on a flimsy pretext, more narcissistic moves by the President of putting his image on passports and stamping his image on coins and that is just a small part of what happened. I was out of range of news media for part of the time and that felt good although a bit unsettling. I will break away again in the future but for now, I'm back.
