Even Founders Do It
Bees do it. Birds do it. Even founders do it. They manipulate perception of themselves. That is what the founder of wikipedia is doing anyway. This Wired article is a couple of days old but further proof that one always needs an editor dedicated to facts and accuracy. I know there was a study of science articles that concluded wikipedia is fairly accurate. But science is not personal biography or political events where self-interest is strong.
It takes hard work to be simple and right, as PR practitioners know. And, when our personal image is at stake, even hard work is not enough.
