Online Public Relations Thoughts

RIM's legal troubles worsened yesterday , and one has to ask how long customers will stand by as it tries to free itself from patent litigation. RIM is endangering relationships, but given the circumstances, one might argue it has little choice. A billion dollar hit to the firm would hurt badly, and competitors are lurking. However, to claim one has a workaround that avoids the patent but not to show it raises suspicion that the fix is not good, or worse, is fiction.

RIM is in the worst PR crisis a company can have. So far, it doesn't appear to have handled it well. But, on the other hand, how could it?
