The campaign did the right thing by announcing the truth. Palin's teenage daughter is pregnant. That is embarrassing to a parent but understandable. Fortunately, Obama backed away from the topic immediately. That was good public relations on his part, and he doesn't need to make an issue of it anyway. Others will. Meanwhile, bloggers are proving that they can sling dirt right along with the tabloids.
