Really?
This article about former president Trump states that the communicator of rage "is in trouble and he knows it." Really? Is he self-aware enough to grasp the difficulties he is in? He continues to spew messages of denial and denouncement and has shown no public contrition for his role in Jan. 6. He appears in his communications to be more convinced than ever of the Big Lie that he won the presidential election. While he privately has said he believes the Roe v. Wade decision is bad for Republicans, he continues publicly to take credit for it. Trump is an example of a person so steeped in self belief, he cannot grasp anything other than what benefits him. In that regard, he is a dangerous individual to the body politic because he is so persuasive to many who otherwise pay little attention to national discourse. He has created an echo chamber for them in which their opinions are reinforced again and again by his messaging. Perhaps an instinct for self-preservation has kicked in and he is acting on it. It's hard to say, however, that he grasps what is happening politically today.
