Christmas

According to the New Testament, the whole world was at peace on the first Christmas, whenever that was.  The same can't be said for today.  There are clashes and wars across the globe.  Man has never learned to live with his neighbor, and given his nature, won't.  It is useful to remember that the God-Man born on that day is an enduring symbol of love and inclusion who ate with sinners he had come to save.  He had harsh words for priestly Pharisees and Sadducees because many were hypocrites.  Rather, he preached to the poor, the disaffected and those yearning for better times.  He called for freedom from the tyranny of things, getting and spending and attention to neighbors of all races and creeds.  It was and is a radical approach to living, worth remembering on this day.
