All Out Battle
It is not a fight most people would be aware of but the battle by Bayer to be shielded from lawsuits over its Roundup weed killer is intense -- and costly. The company has already spent $10 billion to settle lawsuits claiming that Roundup causes cancer. Despite evidence to the contrary, Bayer has lost again and again in court. Now it is seeking laws in three states to protect itself. It might be too late for that but the company is conducting lobbying and ad campaigns to support its case for legislation. It's an all out battle to change hearts and minds and worth watching to see if it succeeds.
