The Reveal

True to NASA's mastery of public relations, the reveal of several stunning deep space images from the new Webb Space Telescope yesterday was a triumph.  There was something for everyone from scientists to the public fascinated by the beauty of galaxies, planets and stars.  News media from around the world carried the images with explanations of the scope and its importance to astronomy.  NASA will continue to dribble new pictures to the public over the life of the instrument as a reminder of its presence a million miles from earth and of the agency which brought it to life.  It is a reminder of an old saying, "When you got it, flaunt it."  NASA continues to have it and has positioned itself over the decades as the world's leader in space research.
