Giving away all that one has quietly and out of sight is a different form of public relations. But that is what this fellow did to the amount of billions. In PR we say one should take credit for good deeds to build goodwill with the public. Charles Feeney didn't care about that. He hid his work behind shell companies and a charitable organization. Even close observers could not tell what he was doing. But that didn't make him free from the media as the obit attests. His good deeds live after him and his anonymity was pierced with praise for his secret work.
