Fighting Back
Online companies, such as Amazon and Tripadvisor, have long tried to eliminate fake reviews on their web sites. They are fighting back by forming a coalition to tackle the whole question and find practical answers. They aren't going after the smalltime operator but large concerns that have hundreds of ways of making phony reviews. More power to them. The internet was built on a spirit of honesty and was corrupted right away by bad actors. It is the reason why online needs editors and always has.
