Time To Panic?
A new poll showing President Biden behind in key swing states a year before the election has Democrats deeply worried. The message from potential voters is that Biden is too old and not effective enough. They are ignoring the legislative packages that Biden engineered shortly after taking office. Biden hasn't helped himself. He is a low-key, often stumbling speaker who is also a gaffe machine. We are in an era when competence is not enough for high office. One needs to go toe-to-toe with conspiracy theorists, with Trump himself and with MAGA Republicans. Is he up to it? It doesn't seem so but it is too early to count him out.
