Feckless
Congress is a feckless institution right now. There are emergencies the world over that the body won't address because it is too busy wrangling amongst itself. The perception is that of quarreling adolescents, each claiming the other is at fault. One asks, "Why can't they just get along?" Congressmen and senators have forgotten compromise. They want their issues addressed -- or else. There is little the President can do about it although he is a creature of the Senate and loves the chamber deeply. Maybe 2024 will be better but it isn't looking like it. The message to the world is one of disfunction just when we don't need it.
