Online Public Relations Thoughts

This is a major crisis for United Healthcare. The fatal shooting of the CEO opens broad avenues of speculation and fosters thousands of rumors.  The worst part for the communications staff is to bat them down without knowing the facts, which are obscured at the moment. There is little time for grieving until the killer is caught and the key question of "why" is answered.  It is a hard time for the family and corporate survivors, but the work must go on.
