What's Next?
The Supreme Court took another bite out of the Voting Rights Act with its decision that a Louisiana congressional district is a gerrymander. Looking at a map of the district, it is easy to see that it is. However, the decision threatens Black representation in Congress because it makes it easier for states to redraw districts and diminish the voice of African-Americans. That is what some states are already vowing to do. What's next for minorities?
